Meaning Behind the Madness
This day, I write to you with an abridged version of the ever growing question.... What is Nocmar? Though many of you will equate Nocmar to Gore, I tell you herein, it is Not. Yes, Nocmar has a resemblance of some Gorean aspects, however, where Gore is based off of a series of novels and science fiction, Nocmar is made of what each individual person makes of it. For those of you confused by that concept, let me simplify it further......
The age old question, "Is Nocmar based off of books?" No. Nocmar is based off of your own interpretation of the lifestyle... your spice on life, if you will. Nocmar was created in efforts to offer a more realistic approach to the lifestyle, instead of one based off of a Sci-Fi novel. It is like every other lifestyle, but allows a freedom to interweave whatever aspects of the lifestyle work best for the relationship with the Dom or submissive. The Man that come up with this concept is one I would consider Agressively Active in the every day activities. I myself view my interpretation of the lifestyle in a Diligently Active manner to which it is portrayed within the entire day, not being extreme, but not just in the bedroom.
It is in my experience and understanding that each relationship between Dominate and submissive is very different. What one might consider a natural way of life, might not be viewed the same in a different relationship / situation, thus allowing the Dominate and submissive the ability to find a satisfying medium. Mind you this is not some privy classified information, but an understanding between two individuals.
Within the walls of Nocmar, there are choices. Beyond popular belief, each and every person has the option of choice in His or her life. However, with that said, the submissive is encouraged to not 'need' to use choice when giving herself fully to her Dominate. When a girl comes to Nocmar, she is considered submissive. She may say she is slave, but it is within our beliefs that true slavery only comes at the point, in a Dominate and submissive's relationship, where the submissive can freely give anything and everything, that she is, to her Dominate, then and only then, has a true slave been born.
We encourage people with open minds to understand that there is a choice in all that they do. We choose to live this lifestyle how we choose too, not by the "standard" of H/he, S/he, Y/you.. yadda yadda.
While visiting this site, you will come across the Chronicles of Nocmar. Within this section you will find a storyline of Lorde Caine's interest in writing. Mind you, his sense of imagination is very unique, but nonetheless, some interesting reading. In the slave's stories, you will find poems and writings of submissives that have come into Nocmar and 'chose' to leave a piece of their thoughts for all to see. Very fine pieces of work and a must read for all travelers through the lands.
