T'is the year of the dead God 23. I am Gar, Chronicle to mighty Lorde Caine of NOCMAR. For you I have now a tale of days filled with high adventure, barbarian lusts, and murderous rage. These dark days that sees the rebirth of a planet and the savior of mankind. I am a man who was no savior and days of anarchy and strife, struggle and conquest. Days you yourself may yet live to see come to pass.
Deadly treason it is, in the realm of NOCMAR, to speak of the old days when the planet was whole. For it is said here, that all of the planet's history, cultural, religious, and technological development, served no purpose save bringing the planet's destruction and the misery of those unlucky enough to survive. I risk this fate both because death is a welcome relief from the despair of this new world, and that you might better understand the Man of my tale more fully, by knowing from the beginning, where and whence He came.
This tale begins on a planet that no longer exists. It was, but is no more. What small piece of it remains is now hailed as NOCMAR. In the old language NOCMAR translates to "no more". This first was the NOCMARian word Lorde Caine created when he crawled from the ruins of the old planet and decided to own what was left.
In the time of one planet, it was known as Earth. Although inhabited by mankind for tens of thousands of years, the so called civilized population had adapted a calendar little more than two thousand years old, relating to the birth of a religious icon. The vast majority of the planet's population was divided into various religious groups who based their cultures and societies largely on the beliefs in a number of deities. It was a planet at constant war.
By the beginning of Earth's twenty-first century the root cause of war around the globe had shifted completely away from territorial to religion. A fanatic faction of one of these religious groups waged a holy jihad against the one remaining super nation. They were labeled as terrorists for their use of non-traditional military tactics. The fanatics had no fleet of navy, no arsenal of air power. Their only real weapon was a religious base of billions of devout followers, many of whom fanatic enough about their god to become suicide warriors for their religion's cause.
Little remains of earth history save for a few dozen scraps of printed scripts. As by Lorde's Chronicle I keep as one of my most holy scripts, a charred collection of glossy pages from a publication called NEWSWEEK WORLD. It is a relic rarely seen by the average citizen servant of NOCMAR. It fairly explains the events which preceded the great destruction. Now, you, I show this holy script....
HISTORY OF MADNESS, the tyrant who wouldn't go away

2003 - President George W Bush leads a coalition force into Iraq to remove the regime of Saddam Hussein, later to be dubbed the "Three Week War". This action was taken without UN support and with strong opposition from France, Germany, and Russia. By the end of the year coalition military losses were less than 500. Best estimates on Iraqi losses are approximately 15,000 military casualties and 2,000 civilian losses. American military insists collateral damage is unavoidable and concerted efforts are made to minimize such. In September, 5 Middle East terrorists were apprehended trying to smuggle aerosol anthrax dispensers into New York City’s international airport. In less than a year coalition forces apprehend Hussein as well as kill his two sons Udey and Qusey.
2004 - Early spring it is discovered that Syria had developed several terrorist training camps in cooperation with Hussein. Under complete secrecy, a large American Special Ops force seizes the capital of Syria, as coalition air strikes begin in the north. Summer brings the transfer of power from Freedom Coalition to the newly formed Iraqi Governing Council. In August '04 Iraq holds its first free national election. A shocked world learns they have elected the first female Arabic leader. Prime Sheik of Free Iraq Ayahilia Mustattotoahj for the first time in history signs an agreement with the coalition liberating nations to repay in full the cost of the war and civil reconstruction. The November election in the US was closely won by incumbent Bush after Vice-President Chaney died of a massive heart attack and was hastily replaced with the first American woman on a presidential ticket.
2006 - Coalition forces remain in Iraq and Syria against massive worldwide protests. United States refuses to remove troops until the agreement of '04 is honored and the debt is paid in full. Syria, as long suspected was heavily involved in terrorist training and safe harbor. Since crossing into Syria, coalition losses at nearly 2,000. Syrian military losses at 30,000 and 5,000 civilian. After thwarting dozens of terrorist planned attacks on American targets the feeling of security was proven false, when in July a radioactive "dirty bomb" was detonated in Los Angeles. Long term projections for death from exposure induced cancer and other radiation related illnesses to top 2,000,000. In September world news agencies receive a videotape recording of what appears to be Saddam Hussein beside a television showing a news broadcast of the terrorist attack, announcing that the prisoner being held as himself by the US is in reality a clone. Claiming he was wrongfully denied of having weapons of mass destruction, and calling on the UN to restore him to power in Iraq.
2007 - By February initial genetic tests indicate accelerated aging in the prisoner first thought to be Hussein, lending credibility to the claim he is a clone. United States has rallied more than 600,000 troops to the Middle East, and nearly three quarters of their naval force is located in and near the Red Sea and Persian Gulf. Intelligence reports indicate Hussein is hiding in Tehran, capital of Iran. Germany and Russia both join the Middle East "Liberty Coalition". 300,000 troops roll into Iran preceded by 34 days of air strikes. Iran falls to the coalition in less than two weeks, coalition expenses since first invading Iraq, one point three trillion dollars. In December the white house releases photos of the Hussein clone clearly showing rapidly accelerated aging, appearing to have aged approximately 20 years in his 3 years of imprisonment. President Bush announces "The only real provable event would be capture, we have the genetic tests to verify the real Hussein, and we won't stop hunting." in response to press questions about Hussein.
2008 - Two more videotapes released showing Hussein associating current events. Liberty Coalition holds military control of Iraq, Syria, Iran, and Libya. Three quarters of a million coalition troops in the Middle East. In May Libya launches biological weapons attacks killing 500 Coalition forces and 35,000 Libyan civilians. This is followed by the largest air campaign to date, effectively crushing the Libyan army in 10 days. November brings more history as America elects incumbent Vice-President Amanda Michael to President. In her inaugural address she praises the American people for their continued support of the ongoing war on terrorism, and declares a $1,000,000,000 reward for the live capture of both Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Ladin. Minutes later an explosion rocks Washington as a suicide bomber detonated his tractor-trailer truck bomb outside the Iraqi embassy leveling buildings for 5 city blocks, killing 22,000 government officials and civilians. December brings the death of the Hussein clone. Military doctors estimate his relative accelerated age to have been between 120 and 140 years old.
2009 - By the beginning of the year America and Great Britain are hit by a series of one and two man suicide bomber attacks. In the more than 50 terrorist strikes casualties near 2,000 civilians killed. April, world news reports Hussein and his sons are being given diplomatic sanctuary at the Swedish embassy in France. President Michael announced on world span cyber vision that the Liberty Coalition would not respect diplomatic boundaries and would begin diverting forces from the Middle East to France if the war criminals were not turned over to the American embassy immediately, "These inhuman monsters must be brought to justice. To defy God in the creation of altered clones for the sole cowardly purpose of eluding capture is the single-most immoral act ever committed in human history”. Naval vessels were under way in as little as 2 hours after the airing of the Hussein story. May, UN calls for complete withdrawal of Liberty Coalition from the Middle East and to cease force amassment off the coast of France. The UN further called on member nations to apply economic sanctions against the United States and all Liberty Coalition countries. Surprising the world, coalition forces invade France in July without an air campaign. Ground forces armored units and paratroopers initiated the incursion to avoid damage and destruction of historical structures. As coalition forces rally on Paris Hussein broadcasts yet another message, a threat. Stating that in their push through the Middle East, the coalition forces had left Kuwait virtually unmanned, and that near the Iraqi/Kuwaiti border he had an espionage team place a nuclear warhead deep inside an oil well. He demanded that all Coalition forces cease fire and withdraw from foreign soils or he would detonate. He further stated his science advisors had informed him that the destruction of Kuwait would be total. Coalition forces halted their approach to Paris and stood down, withdrawing from France but remain steady in the Middle East.
It is now October 2009 and this reporter as well as the world has been holding our collective breath for some 2 months, waiting to see if the madman Hussein is as mad as they fear. Will he use this weapon? Does he have this weapon? With literally thousands of oil wells in southern Iraq, no one can really be sure if he didn't get to just one. And if he does in fact have a nuclear weapon, it only takes one.
My Lorde only brings this holy script from the vaults when he wishes to remind the council of Chieftains why our new world is a world without engines, and that one Man CAN destroy, as well as create a world.
